A trip to the Redwoods

We took a short little break and drove to the Redwoods a couple of days ago. My jaw dropped a couple of times when I first saw the huge trees. After 30 minutes, it was sit-back-and-enjoy-trees moment. Justin taught me to appreciate trees for their beauty and that was what we did for the whole trip. We drove through the Drive Thru Tree and the Tour Thru Tree. I attached a picture below so you can get an idea of how big the trees are.

There aren't too many of them left since loggers started cutting them down in 1907 (to rebuild San Francisco after the huge earthquake). Years later, laws were set up to protect these areas and their beauty. We are able to enjoy the beauty now because of that. I am glad.

I'm still amazed every time I see these giants. Hopefully someday I'll get to see them in person, but your pics give me an entirely new appreciation of them. What a fun trip that must have been!
